These terms govern your access to and use of MadeForMachine, including mfm.dev, my.mfm.dev, api.mfm.dev, mcp.mfm.dev, MFM Spec, Atlas, and related software, skills, APIs, and documentation (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is provided by ShieldIT UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Kastanienstraße 33, 15366 Neuenhagen bei Berlin, Germany (“ShieldIT”, “we”, or “us”).
1. Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account, connecting an agent, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that organization. You must be at least 18 years old or otherwise legally able to enter into this agreement.
2. The Service
MadeForMachine provides deterministic stores, validation, public data, and agent-facing interfaces for project specifications and grounded product discovery. The Service does not replace your coding agent and does not guarantee that generated code, specifications, comparisons, or other outputs are correct, complete, or suitable for a particular purpose. You remain responsible for reviewing outputs and decisions made with them.
Features identified as beta, preview, experimental, or research may change materially, contain errors, or be withdrawn. We may improve, modify, limit, or discontinue parts of the Service where reasonably necessary, while respecting any separate written agreement with you.
3. Accounts and workspaces
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
- Authentication is provided through Kinde. You are responsible for safeguarding your login methods, sessions, tokens, and connected MCP clients.
- A workspace is a customer tenant. Workspace administrators are responsible for membership, permissions, and use by their users and agents.
- Tell us promptly at contact@madeformachine.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- break applicable law or infringe another person's rights;
- upload malicious code or content you are not entitled to process;
- bypass authentication, tenant isolation, access controls, rate limits, or technical safeguards;
- probe or disrupt the Service or another user's systems without prior written authorization;
- use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or deceptive material; or
- resell access to a hosted account or falsely present MadeForMachine data as your own independently verified source.
Public APIs may be used programmatically, but you must identify your client honestly where requested and comply with reasonable usage and rate limits. We may restrict abusive traffic to protect the Service and its users.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of specifications, project data, rules, prompts, and other content you submit to the Service (“Customer Content”). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, copy, transmit, validate, and otherwise process Customer Content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and support the Service and to comply with law.
You are responsible for Customer Content and for having all rights and permissions needed to submit it. Do not place personal data, secrets, credentials, export-controlled information, or other sensitive material in Customer Content unless it is necessary and you are authorized to do so. MFM Spec is designed to support portable export, but you remain responsible for maintaining any copies and backups you require.
6. Our materials and third-party content
The Service, its design, software, trademarks, and documentation remain ours or our licensors'. These terms do not override an open-source or other license expressly attached to a skill, schema, code package, or data set.
Atlas references third-party documentation and identifies evidence sources. Third-party content remains subject to its owner's terms and may change without notice. Links and comparisons do not imply endorsement, partnership, or a warranty about a provider.
7. Availability and security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to operate the Service, but uninterrupted or error-free availability cannot be guaranteed. You must use appropriate safeguards in your own environment and must not rely on the Service as the sole copy of critical data. Scheduled maintenance and urgent security work may temporarily limit access.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request account or workspace closure by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, security risk, unlawful use, non-payment under a separate order, or harm to the Service or others. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, liability, and governing-law provisions—will survive.
9. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence; for injury to life, body, or health; under the German Product Liability Act; and where we have expressly assumed a guarantee.
For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation whose performance is necessary for the proper execution of the agreement and on which you may regularly rely. In that case, liability is limited to the damage typical for the agreement and reasonably foreseeable when it was concluded. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded. The same limits apply to our legal representatives and agents. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future use where legal, security, or Service changes make an update reasonably necessary. We will identify the current version by its date and provide reasonable notice of material changes to registered users. If a change requires your consent under applicable law, we will ask for it.
11. Governing law and disputes
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, mandatory protections of the country where you habitually reside remain unaffected. The courts at our registered office have jurisdiction where such an agreement is legally permitted.
We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
12. Contact
